Crafted with Love
Congratulations with your Treasures piece, we hope you will love it as much as we enjoying designing for you!
Made by exceptional craftsmen with the greatest attention, your Treasures piece can be cherished for a lifetime if you make sure it receives the right care.
A living material, leather can change and soften over time. Treasures uses only the highest grade of sheep suede. Patterns are designed, and embellished individually. All styles are detailed with hand tooling, embroideries and metal studs. Far from being flaws, occasional variations can occur due to our intricate hand-made process making each design unique and one of its kind.
Protect it from rain and sun
Leather is sensitive to natural elements: water, oil, heat, light, and environments that are too humid or too dry.
We recommend protecting your garment by spraying it with a transparant leather/suede protector, before wearing, and a protector should be applied regularly to help resist the effects of daily wear and soiling. Leathers/ suedes in lighter colours are prone to absorb other dyes it comes into contact with, so please do take care when wearing items such as dark denim.
Protect it from prolonged exposure to intense light and heat (direct sunlight, in a window, on a radiator, etc.), which may affect the colour. If the leather comes into contact with water, wipe it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. This will prevent the formation of stains and blisters.
Keep it away from bad influences
Some materials can leave permanent marks on leather: ink (markers and pens), oily products (makeup and lipstick), perfume and alcohol-based products. Repeated contact with raw or dark textiles can also have undesirable effects on leather that is lighter in colour. Finally, in order to preserve the shape of your Treasures leather style, make sure to store it flat avoiding sharp folds, or store on a hanger in shape, when you do not use it.
Offer it frequent rest
To preserve its original beauty, your Treasures leather piece needs time to rest. When you are not using it, make sure to provide it with the best possible preservation conditions: a temperate, dry environment away from light.
Give it the care it deserves
Instead of risking permanent damage by trying to care for your leather yourself, it's best to have it cleaned regularly by a professional cleaning service. With a little pampering, your Treasures style will age well and become more beautiful and develop even more character with each passing year.
Suede
All of our suede accessories and apparel are handmade using fine leathers tanned and dyed in traditional methods in order to maintain its natural beauty and soft texture. The unique texture of suede requires that extra consideration be taken when worn during inclement weather. Please keep your accessories and apparel away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and humidity. Please note that dark denim or other dyed clothing items can rub off and stain tanned leathers. Exposure to water, oil, makeup, and permanent dyes can unfortunately stain suede accessories and apparel.
In the event that your accessories and apparel gets wet or soiled other than with permanent dyes, try gently dabbing the suede with a clean, dry cloth. Allow any damp spots to dry naturally and use a suede brush to gently lift the nap and remove superficial dirt from the surface. For stubborn stains, immediately consult a fur specialist cleaner. By regularly caring for your suede, your accessories and apparel will preserve their natural beauty.
Leather
All of our accessories and apparel are handmade using beautiful leather tanned and dyed in traditional methods in order to maintain its natural beauty and soft feel. Variations in color and texture are the prized characteristics of these methods. Over time, the leather will acquire a patina and may also darken due to the oils from your skin and direct sunlight, further enhancing the natural look and feel of your accessories and apparel. Please keep your bag away from prolonged intense sunlight, heat, and humidity. Please also note that dark denim or other dyed clothing items can rub off and stain tanned leathers. Exposure to water, oil, makeup, and permanent dyes like this can unfortunately leave permanent stains.
In the event your accessories and apparel gets soiled other than with permanent dyes, try gently dabbing the leather with a clean, dry cloth and mild leather cream. By regularly caring for your leather, your accessories and apparel will preserve their beauty.
